You carry everything — even the parts no one else sees.

You’ve become an expert at compartmentalizing.
You’ve learned to numb the stress with busyness, caretaking, overworking, or scrolling.
But ignoring the knots in your stomach and the heaviness in your chest only works for so long — until the exhaustion takes over.

It’s time to put the weight down.

At Restorative Oasis, we provide specialized, trauma-informed therapy for women in Ohio and Colorado. Whether you’re seeking an in-person sanctuary in Ohio or the convenience of virtual therapy across both states, we offer a safe space for high-functioning women to pause, breathe, and stop “survival mode” from running the show.

Your body, mind, and spirit have been working overtime to keep you safe.
Now it’s time to release the weight prioritize your well-being.

We’re here to support your shift from overwhelmed to grounded — helping you reconnect with a version of yourself that feels rested, whole, and fully restored.

Women’s Emotional Renewal through Integrative Therapy & Trauma Recovery

A Sanctuary for

Maybe you learned early that emotions were too much. That softness invited criticism. That vulnerability made things worse. And so you coped—by shutting down, staying busy, and silencing the ache inside.

But unacknowledged pain doesn’t disappear—it transforms. It becomes fatigue, anxiety, insomnia, tension, disconnection. It gets stored in the body and passed through generations. What we don’t process emotionally, we often carry physically—and unknowingly teach our daughters to carry too.

—no matter the cost.

we specialize in supporting high-functioning women who are emotionally worn from years of carrying what no one else could see. Women conditioned to tuck their feelings away, minimize their needs, and keep showing up

I started my career in medicine, drawn to helping people feel better in their bodies — until I realized something deeper:
Physical healing can only go so far when emotional wounds are left unspoken.

Over and over, I saw how stress, trauma, and pressure show up in the body before people have words for what they’re feeling. That realization is what pulled me into trauma therapy.

As a Black woman and licensed trauma therapist, I understand the pressure of holding everything together — looking composed, capable, and “fine,” while quietly carrying anxiety, generational stress, and emotional disconnection.

Many of the women I support in Ohio and Colorado grew up in homes where survival came first, emotions came last, and being strong was expected.

In our work together, I draw from:

  • Evidence-based trauma therapies: like CBT and ACT, which help you understand patterns rooted in past experiences so you can create new, more supportive ones in the present.
  • Schema therapy: which uncovers long-held beliefs shaped by childhood and relational wounds — and gently challenges them so you can show up more fully as yourself.
  • Nervous system awareness & somatic understanding: which teach your body how to feel safe again by reducing anxiety, stress, and shutdown responses.
  • Faith-based therapy: Faith-informed counseling, for women who value a Christian lens — offering space to explore both emotional healing and spiritual growth

My approach is rooted in emotional attunement. I help you understand not just what you’re feeling — but why your body responds the way it does.

We slow down and make sense of the patterns that shaped you — and begin building new ones that support stability, connection, emotional safety, and a grounded sense of self.

When you sit with me, you get someone who is warm, honest, and fully present.
Someone who speaks the truth with compassion. Someone who knows what it feels like to lose yourself — and what it takes to find your way back.

You’ve done the hard work of surviving. Now it’s time to feel supported while you heal.
